QUOTES TO REMEMBER:

“Any Sunday school child could answer the question, ‘Why did Jesus come?’ with an accurate answer – ‘He came to save sinners!’ That is very true. He did come to save sinners. But Scripture actually outlines 22 other reasons why He came, as well. And I think it is important for us to be mindful of the full-orbed answer to this crucial question.”

“Jesus did come to save sinners. But He also came so that we might have abundant life, to destroy the works of the devil, to bring us to God, to preach good news to the poor, proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed, and so much more.”

“There are two things which were NOT reasons Jesus came to earth – one is that He did not come to condemn the world.”

“Understanding the full-orbed reasons behind Jesus’ coming to earth is important. And it goes far beyond the typical ‘Sunday school answer'”.
